Prepaid STL Generation Credits

Credits are prepaid units used exclusively to access STL generation and download services on this website. Credits do not represent money or stored monetary value, have no fixed cash value, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

The credits required may vary by STL-generation service. Credits cannot be used for physical products or services outside this platform. Purchases are one-time, credits never expire, and commercial licence rights are included as described here.

What you can do with a design you export or adopt

Whether you designed it yourself or adopted it from the public library, your licence grants you:

• ✓Print it. Use Cuttr or any other tool to convert the design to a 3D-printable file and print physical cutters on a 3D printer.
• ✓Sell the physical cutters. Print and sell the physical cookie cutters you produce, for personal or commercial purposes, on any plan including the free plan. No royalty or credit-back to the original creator is required.
• ✓Sell goods made with the cutters. Use the cutters to make and sell cookies, pastries, or other goods — commercial use is included.
• ✓Edit and resize. Modify the design to your needs, adjust sizes, and re-export as many times as you want at no further cost.

What you cannot do

• ✗Resell or redistribute the digital files. You may not resell or redistribute the STL, ZIP, or source files themselves. Selling the physical cutter is fine; selling the digital file is not.
• ✗Re-publish an adopted design to the public library. If you adopted a design from the public library, you cannot publish your edited version as a new public design. You can use it privately in any way you like.

Authorship and credits

If you adopt a design from the public library, the original creator keeps authorship of the underlying design. Cuttr displays the creator's name on the public library card as a courtesy. You are not required to credit the creator on packaging, in your shop, or anywhere else — attribution is optional.

When you create a design and keep it private, or design and publish it to the public library, you retain full ownership and authorship of that design. You can edit, withdraw, or export it in any way you choose.

How creators earn credits

When you publish a design to the public library, other Cuttr makers can adopt it. You earn 25 credits every time someone adopts your design. There's a daily cap of 300 credits (roughly 12 adoptions per day) to prevent system abuse.

This is a one-time payment per adopter, not an ongoing royalty. Once the adoption fee is paid, you don't earn additional credits based on what the adopter does with the physical product afterward.

Creator withdrawal and adopter rights

If you published a design and want to remove it from the public library, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal is permanent and one-way — your design will no longer appear in Explore or be adoptable by new makers.

Withdrawal does not affect anyone who already adopted your design. Their copies remain theirs to use, edit, and sell forever. Their commercial rights survive your withdrawal.

Reporting infringing designs

The Cuttr public library operates without pre-publication review. We rely on creators to confirm they own or have permission to share each design, and on our community to report designs that may infringe copyright or trademarks.

If you find a design that infringes your copyright or trademark:

1. 1.Open the design or set on the Explore page and click the “Report” button.
2. 2.Select “Infringes my copyright or trademark” and provide details about your work and how it was copied. Examples or links to your original work help us make a quick decision.
3. 3.Our team will review your report. If we confirm the design infringes your rights, we will remove it from the public library.

How moderation works

When a design is reported, our team reviews the report and the design. We may remove designs that:

• •Infringe someone's copyright or trademark
• •Contain offensive or inappropriate content
• •Don't work as functional cookie cutters
• •Are duplicates of existing public designs

Removal is permanent. A removed design will no longer appear in Explore, but adopters who already own it keep their copies and commercial rights.

What Cuttr does not warrant

Cuttr does not verify, vet, or guarantee that published designs are original or do not infringe anyone else's rights. Creators are responsible for confirming they own or have permission to share what they publish. When you adopt a design, you accept it under this licence as-is.

If you later discover a design you adopted infringes someone's rights, Cuttr does not indemnify you or provide a refund. Your recourse is to contact the original creator or the copyright holder directly.
